Job summary

Suffolk University in Boston is seeking an Admissions Counselor to join the team that recruits and admits undergraduates. You’ll travel regionally, conduct interviews, and build relationships with students, families, and school partners to meet enrollment goals.

You’ll communicate Suffolk’s admission policies, holistically review applications, and support yield activities while contributing to a dynamic, mission‑driven office focused on access and opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two years of driving experience and valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Ability to travel for recruitment in fall and spring; some evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Represent Suffolk University virtually and in person at college fairs and schools.
• Travel ~10–12 weeks between fall and spring semesters.
• Conduct virtual and on/off‑campus interviews with students and families.
• Manage a recruitment territory and develop outreach plans to increase applications and enrollment.
• Explain admission policies and procedures to applicants and counselors.
• Coordinate application generation and yield programs in assigned regions.
• Assist Welcome Center with information sessions and programming.
