Job summary

Emerson College in Boston is seeking an Admission Counselor to join the Division of Enrollment. You will recruit students, advise prospects, and guide families through admissions policies, while traveling domestically to high schools and college fairs.

You'll coordinate spring and fall recruitment events, meet with visitors, and collaborate with on-campus departments to boost applications and enrollment, contributing to the college's revenue goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 1-3 years of experience in college admissions or related area required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 1 year of previous professional experience in college admissions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruit students to meet admissions and revenue targets.
• Communicate with and advise prospective students.
• Counsel parents, applicants, and guidance counselors on admissions policies.
• Maintain communication with prospective students and families.
• Review and evaluate undergraduate admissions applications and make decisions (accept/defer/waitlist/reject).
• Plan and execute spring and fall recruitment schedules, events, and travel.
• Meet with walk-in visitors and give presentations to guests touring the campus.
• Serve as liaison to on-campus departments and off-campus organizations to increase applications.
