Job summary

The College of Saint Benedict and Saint John’s University seek an Admission Counselor to recruit prospective students and guide families through the enrollment process. The role emphasizes relationship building, outreach, and data-driven strategies to meet enrollment goals in a collaborative, values-driven environment.

Responsibilities include presenting to groups, analyzing applications, advising applicants, and coordinating travel within Minnesota and beyond.

Qualifications

• Student leadership experience in or related to recruitment.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with diverse audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with students and families.
• Effective planning, organizational and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed enrollment goals within assigned recruitment territory.
• Establish and manage relationships with prospective students and families, counselors, alumnae/alumni, and partners.
• Review applications and determine admissibility; recommend students for admission.
• Conduct presentations to groups of students, parents, educators, and alumni.
• Identify needs, concerns, and opportunities for prospective students in the territory.
• Provide consultative guidance to prospective students, applicants, and deposited students.
• Display professional judgment and sound decision making in representation of the colleges.
• Prepare reports to update recruitment efforts and results throughout the admission funnel.
• Utilize student employees and alumni to help generate applications.
• Design and execute recruitment strategies for designated territories.
• Use data analysis tools to monitor trends and adapt strategies.
• Support enrollment strategic plan through independent and team work.
• Provide second language information/resources if applicable.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Admission
