Job summary

Independence Blue Cross seeks a detail-oriented Enrollment Specialist to review and process enrollment requests in the enrollment queues, ensuring timely updates to subscriber records and adherence to productivity and quality goals.

The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and familiarity with data processing tools such as Excel, Word, SharePoint, SNOW, and related systems. A high school diploma or college degree is preferred, with at least 3 years in health insurance experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or College Degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the health insurance industry, with a combined focus on production and quality. College degree in lieu of experience will be considered.
• Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with others and be a team player.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate via email.
• Familiarity with data processing and the ability to work with documented policies and procedures.
• Health Rules/Advantasure, One Hub, SNOW, Excel, Word, Share Point or a system logs productivity.

Responsibilities

• Reviews submitted enrollment requests assigned via the enrollment queues.
• Processes according to established productivity goals while maintaining established quality goals.
• Takes initiative to check questions or unusual situations with management in accordance with established guidelines.
• Ensures thorough and timely completion of requests for additions, changes and terminations to subscriber and dependent records.
• Notifies the Supervisor of trends that will impact internal and external customers.
• Must be able to work required extra hours as dictated by business needs.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
