Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks a Special Education English Inclusion teacher for Brighton High, a long-term substitute from 09/23/2026 to 05/03/2027. Per diem subs apply for the entire period, with teaching starting at per diem and increasing as assigned.

You will implement district goals, provide small-group instruction for students with disabilities, and develop IEPs with progress reporting, collaborating with colleagues to ensure access to the general curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for teaching licensure.
• Massachusetts license in Moderate Disabilities for the applicable grades.
• ESL license or SEI endorsement required or preferred.
• Must meet all state/federal licensing requirements to be Highly Qualified.
• Authorization to work in the United States by start date.
• Experience in urban schools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned with district goals and state standards.
• Provide small-group instruction for students with moderate to severe delays.
• Develop and monitor IEP goals, with regular progress reporting.
• Provide accommodations and differentiate as needed for MCAS prep.
• Collaborate with staff to support student needs and transitions.
