Vanguard College Prep is seeking dedicated English educators to teach and mentor middle and high school students, helping them achieve strong ACT and SAT results. The role is full-time with base pay of $20.00–$24.00 per hour for a 40-hour week, plus health/dental/vision insurance and PTO, including fully paid winter vacations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in humanities from US schools (English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing).
• Teaching experience in English or college-level Writing Center work (1+ years).
• GPA 3.5+ and strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and G-Suites, reliable internet.
• Commitment to schedule: Mon and Fri off; Tue–Thu 1:30pm–9:30pm CST; Sat–Sun 9:30am–5:30pm CST.

Responsibilities

• Teach and inspire small groups to promote long-term understanding and test readiness.
• Track student progress through Vanguard's multi-phase curriculum.
• Maintain schedules, assign work, and communicate professionally.
• Develop and adapt lesson plans and curriculum.
• Mentor students through the college application process.
