Vanguard College Prep is seeking dedicated educators to help students reach their college goals. This full-time English instructor role emphasizes individualized instruction, strong classroom pedagogy, and engagement beyond the test prep model.

You will teach English core skills, track student growth, develop innovative lesson plans, mentor students through the college application process, and collaborate with a supportive team in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in humanities from US schools; master's preferred.
• Teaching experience in English or college writing center, 1+ year.
• Strong academic record (e.g., 3.5+ GPA).
• Proficient with MS Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Teach and Inspire: Instruct small groups of students in English core skills to promote long-term understanding and top scores.
• Track Growth: Monitor student progress through Vanguard's multi-phase curriculum.
• Manage and Model: Maintain lesson schedules, hold students accountable, communicate professionally.
• Innovate: Develop and execute evolving lesson plans and curriculum.
• Mentor: Guide students through the college application process with empathy.
