Vanguard College Prep is seeking a full-time English educator to help students develop core literacy skills and college readiness for ACT & SAT success. You will teach small groups, design engaging lessons, and track progress in a multi-phase curriculum.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in humanities from US schools (Master's preferred), with 1+ years of English teaching or college writing center experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in humanities from US Schools; Master's degree preferred.
• 1+ years teaching English or college writing center experience.
• Demonstrated academic excellence (e.g., 3.5+ GPA).
• Strong verbal skills and mastery of the English language.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and G-Suites.

Responsabilités

• Teach and Inspire: Instruct small groups of students in their English core skills to promote long-term understanding of topics and top scores in their college readiness exams (ACT & SAT).
• Track Growth: Track your students' progress as they move through Vanguard's unique multi-phase curriculum, engaging students in individualized growth and improvement opportunities along the way.
• Manage and Model: Maintain and update student lesson schedules, hold them accountable for assignments, and model professionalism along with strong organizational skills through timely student communication.
• Innovate: Spearhead the development and creative execution of ever-evolving lesson plans and curriculum.
• Mentor: Guide middle and high school students with empathy and an innate understanding that the college application process is becoming increasingly competitive and stressful.
