Job summary

Vanguard College Prep is seeking a full-time English educator to teach core English skills to small groups and guide students toward top college readiness exam scores (ACT/SAT). The role emphasizes individualized growth, professional communication, and ongoing curriculum development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in humanities from US schools (Master's or higher preferred)
• Teaching experience in English and/or college-level Writing Center (1+ years)
• Demonstrated academic excellence (3.5+ GPA)
• Strong verbal skills and mastery of the English language

Responsibilities

• Teach and Inspire: Instruct small groups of students in English core skills for long-term understanding and top scores in ACT & SAT
• Track Growth: Monitor student progress through Vanguard's multi-phase curriculum and foster individualized growth
• Manage and Model: Maintain student lesson schedules, ensure accountability for assignments, communicate professionally
• Innovate: Develop and execute evolving lesson plans and curriculum
• Mentor: Guide middle and high school students through a competitive college application process
