Job summary

Beyond New Horizons is seeking an Engineering Technician - Mechanic to operate and maintain an industrial wind tunnel test facility at White Oak, MD. You will work as part of a team to ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently, performing skilled mechanical and electrical tasks.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, the ability to obtain a security clearance, and U.S. citizenship. Open to internal and external candidates with a starting hourly rate of $16.90–$26.80.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 0-5 years of progressive and relevant experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
• Current U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial machinery to support safe operation of the test facility.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and operate mechanical and test systems including pumps, compressors, tubing, and valves.
• Begin training to become a qualified operator of industrial control systems.
