GVI is seeking detail-oriented and technically capable professionals to support the \u003cb\u003eMilitary Sealift Command (MSC) Engineering Department’s Technical Documentation Branch\u003c/b\u003e in Norfolk, Virginia.
These positions play an important role in maintaining and supporting the engineering and technical information used by MSC personnel. As part of our team, you will provide administrative, data management, engineering documentation, and technical library support while helping ensure critical technical information is accurate, organized, accessible, and effectively distributed throughout the MSC fleet.
A key component of these positions is supporting the MSC Virtual Technical Library (VTL), an electronic repository and management system containing technical manuals, engineering drawings, engineering designs, technical references, and other mission-critical documentation.
Our Engineering Department support team responsibilities will include:
High School Degree or Equivalent
10 years’ experience with maintenance management, ship operations, manufacturing plant operations, or power plant operations.
8 years’ experience using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
5 years’ experience using Shipboard Automated Maintenance Management system (SAMM) Virtual Technical Library (VTL) applications
