Job summary

Kyocera International, Inc. in Vancouver, WA is seeking an Engineering Technician 4 to support production, quality, and engineering teams. The role focuses on improving and implementing procedures across plants, testing and scoping projects, and training machinists and inspectors.

Candidates should have an AA/AS degree with 8+ years in manufacturing, strong problem solving, and experience with machining, blueprints, and SPC/Lean/Six Sigma. Proficiency with SAP, Excel, and Outlook is a plus.

Qualifications

  • AA or AS degree and high school diploma required.
  • 8+ years of related experience in manufacturing/production.
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
  • Ability to read blueprints/mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Willingness to wear cleanroom attire.

Responsibilities

  • Documents, implements, and maintains manufacturing methods and processes.
  • Establishes and tests processes and prototypes to meet quality and delivery.
  • Trains others on processes and writes supporting documentation.
  • Performs analytical tests and defines root causes using DOE or similar tools.
  • Maintains high attention to detail during visual inspections and tolerance checks.
  • Performs maintenance and calibration of mechanical and electrical equipment.
