Job summary

Kyocera International, Inc. is seeking an experienced Machinist in the United States to set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and grinders. You will run 1–4 machines, inspect parts, and mentor junior operators in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position requires 7+ years CNC experience or equivalent training, strong reading of drawings with GD&T, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on-site in Washington state. ITAR eligibility is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 7+ years CNC experience or completion of a 2-year Machine Technology certificate.
  • Ability to read and comprehend verbal and written instructions in English.
  • Read mechanical drawings/blueprints, including GD&T.
  • Must pass criminal background check and drug screen.
  • Eligible to work in an ITAR environment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and observe CNC machine operation, adjust controls as required.
  • Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions on parts and review work orders for changes.
  • Select and secure fixtures to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Calculate and set controls for machining factors; edit machine programs as needed.
  • Document scrapped parts and communicate issues to peers.
  • Verify conformance and complete First Article Inspection reports.
  • Train other operators and machinists; cross-train on multiple machine types.
  • Support safety, maintenance, and housekeeping initiatives.
