Job summary

Eqvilentjobs is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and grow an international engineering team. You will own stakeholder communication, set priorities, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining high code quality.

You will oversee hiring, capacity planning, and development plans, conduct regular 1:1s and performance reviews, and mentor engineers to improve skills and outcomes in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading engineering teams while maintaining code quality.
• People-first leadership mindset focused on growth and well-being.
• Experience with performance reviews, feedback and development planning.
• Experience conducting code reviews and participating in hiring.
• Understanding of Linux systems and algorithms and data structures.
• Ability to design and oversee software architecture.
• Decent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Own communication with stakeholders and other teams, set priorities and assure delivery.
• Manage the team, assigning tasks based on strengths and development goals.
• Own team capacity planning and ensure hiring, processes and tools are in place.
• Conduct regular 1:1 meetings and performance reviews.
