Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Manager, Engineering Systems in Mansfield, TX. You will lead the Product Development Support and Engineering Apps Development teams, driving enhancements to PLM, CAD, and related systems while ensuring robust data integrity across engineering processes.

You will collaborate with NPD and IT leaders, manage budgets, oversee vendor relations, and mentor staff to deliver projects on time and within budget in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field; 3+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years of leadership are required.
• PLM, CAD and Enterprise Analytics experience required; AS400 and Agile experience a plus.
• Documentation control experience is required.
• Must have strong analytical, planning, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
• Leadership potential and ability to deliver significant engineering projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Product Development Support (PDS) and Engineering Apps Development (EAD) teams to elevate service and performance.
• Oversee selection, support, and enhancement of Engineering Applications such as CAD, PLM, and PPM systems.
• Maintain standards to control digital assets and product data across NPD processes.
• Collaborate with NPD and IT leaders to understand current and future support needs; plan accordingly.
• Propose upgrades to support NPD processes and stay current with technologies.
• Conduct interviewing, feedback, onboarding, and performance processes for staff.
• Prepare and manage department budget; justify capital projects.
• Resolve user and system issues; manage vendor relationships and service tickets.
• Ensure data integrity of PLM systems; align product hierarchy across business systems.
• Perform additional duties as required.
