Job summary

Klein Tools is seeking a Senior Product Engineer to lead design, development, and improvement of precision hand tools and related products. You will act as a technical leader, guiding projects from concept through on-time delivery with analytical decision-making and strong collaboration across teams.

You will own complex engineering challenges, mentor other engineers, represent the company in vendor interactions, and drive cross-functional initiatives to deliver innovative solutions while

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited mechanical engineering degree with 5+ years of direct work experience.
• Strong technical, analytical, planning, and organizational skills.
• Solid understanding of new product development and new product introduction.
• Demonstrated experience facilitating complex projects with multiple interactions.
• Conflict resolution and team leadership experience.
• Excellent communication and ability to justify technical and financial decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and improvement of Klein Tools products.
• Set project direction, estimates, and timelines within phase-gate development.
• Serve as SME for at least one product category.
• Represent Klein Tools in vendor meetings and coordinate work.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with Product Management on new features.
• Develop high-level presentations and communicate complex engineering concepts.
