Job summary

RWDI in Emeryville, CA is seeking a strategic Project Manager to identify and win new engineering consulting opportunities, lead multidisciplinary teams, and oversee execution from concept to delivery.

You will manage client relationships, prepare proposals for public and private RFPs, coordinate a team of RWDI consultants, and ensure on-time, quality outcomes while tracking project finances and expectations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development and project management within the engineering consulting sector.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Understanding of building design and construction process, codes, standards, and protocols.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to clients effectively.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed targets.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing, negotiating, and facilitating new business.
• Creating proposals including scope, fees, and qualifications for RFPs.
• Developing strong working relationships with clients.
• Leading RWDI consultants to meet project objectives.
• Ensuring on-time, quality delivery and meeting client expectations.
• Managing project finances, invoices, and receivables.
• Ensuring Quality Assurance aligns with standards.
• Tracking industry developments to deliver innovative services.
• Preparing and delivering presentations at meetings and industry events.
