Job summary

Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. in Waggaman, LA seeks an Engineering Project Specialist to plan, coordinate, and control complex customer jobs.

You will liaise with Estimating, Sales and Production to ensure customer requirements are met and fulfilled. You will create fabrication-ready drawings with BOM, review drawings for accuracy, and schedule product releases, while keeping clients informed throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management for fabrication projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with steel fabrication processes and shop practices.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Customer relationship management experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and control complex customer jobs and programs.
• Serve as liaison between Estimating, Sales, and Production.
• Assume responsibility for purchase orders with sales team.
• Devise job schedules that fit production constraints.
• Create fabrication‑ready drawings with BOM from customer contracts.
• Review drawings for clashes and errors; prepare submittal packages.
• Schedule product releases and keep clients informed throughout.
