Job summary

Fabricated Steel Products, Inc. in Baton Rouge is seeking a hands-on Project Manager to drive schedule, detailing, and production flow for structural steel fabrication projects. You will coordinate with customers, detailing, production, subcontractors, estimating, and finance to keep projects moving forward efficiently and professionally.

Success requires organization, urgency, accountability, and the ability to manage competing priorities without constant oversight.

Qualifications

5 years of project management experience in fabrication, construction, or manufacturing.
Strong preference for structural steel industry experience.
Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
Experience with Tekla, SDS2, Bluebeam, Trimble, MS Excel, or similar systems.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong communication and client-facing skills.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Conduct contract and specification reviews and lead kickoff meetings.
Develop and actively manage project schedules and detailing flow.
Serve as primary point of contact for customers and coordinate cross-functional teams.
Identify, initiate, and track change orders; manage budgets and billing schedules.
