Our Data Center Engineering Operations team maintains and operates critical infrastructure systems to ensure resilience against any situation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conduct daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment ensuring 24/7 reliability.
2. Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
3. Assist troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
4. Perform rack installs and decommissioning within SLAs.
5. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs of electrical and mechanical equipment.
6. Write technical documentation to support change management.
7. Manage daily work requests and execute projects from conception to completion.
8. Support on-site contractors, ensuring adherence to procedures and legislation.
9. Work schedules may vary, including shifts up to 12 hours and on-call rotations.
10. Support multiple locations/sites as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work in conditions involving lifting up to 39 pounds independently and group lifts over 40 pounds.
• Maintain balance and perform tasks on ladders, and handle various physical activities including walking, reaching, crawling, climbing, and working above shoulders.
• Work environment may require ear protection.

A Day in the Life

This role involves hands-on electrical and mechanical preventative maintenance and troubleshooting, reporting to a Data Center Facility Manager. Responsibilities include maintaining critical equipment such as generators, electrical systems, chillers, cooling towers, and fire safety systems, among others.

Basic Qualifications

• Technical training or 2+ years of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or fire system experience in mission-critical environments or relevant industry.
• 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of Data Center Engineering experience.
• Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
