Job summary

Quanta Services is seeking an Engineering Manager - Transmission Line to lead engineering, design, and drafting across high-voltage transmission projects. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and cost-effective delivery of energy infrastructure.

The candidate will supervise and perform engineering studies, optimize system investments, and collaborate with civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines. A strong HV background and leadership experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of codes and standards.
• Ability to make sound business and financial judgements.
• Understanding of engineering theories and problem solving.
• Capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision and oversee quality of team deliverables.
• Ensure compliance by being abreast of codes and standards.
• Plan/coordinate pole loading.
• Define plan of control.
• Direct/supervise junior engineers.
• Provide detailed engineering, design and planning assessments and recommendations.
• Evaluate system operations, and provide project scope development for overhead and underground utility systems.
• Plan, develop and coordinate engineering studies on projects with complex engineering solutions to address system risk, reliability and capacity limitations.
• Additional duties as needed and/or assigned.
