Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking an Engineering Manager - Transmission Line to lead engineering, design and drafting for high voltage transmission projects. You will supervise a team, perform analyses, and optimize system investments to deliver safe, reliable infrastructure.

The role requires a strong background in electrical, structural, mechanical or civil engineering with extensive HV experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring compliance with codes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Structural, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of codes and standards across utilities.
• Ability to make sound business and financial judgments and quick decisions.
• Understanding of engineering theories, methods, evaluating alternatives, and presenting recommendations.
• Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical supervision and oversee quality of team deliverables.
• Ensure compliance by staying current with codes and standards.
• Plan/coordinate pole loading.
• Define plan of control.
• Direct/supervise junior engineers.
• Provide detailed engineering, design and planning assessments and recommendations.
• Evaluate system operations and develop project scopes for overhead and underground utilities.
• Plan and coordinate engineering studies on complex projects addressing risk, reliability and capacity.
