Job summary

Eaton seeks an Engineering Manager for its Jonesville, SC site to oversee design changes of 3 phase transformers and lead a small team of engineers on both customized and standard utility projects.

You will manage engineering activities from order receipt through manufacturing release, support the shop floor and customer on design issues, and ensure compliance with IEEE, ANSI, NEC, UL and other standards. Relocation assistance provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• Four (4) years of engineering experience.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration. CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, H-1B and related programs are not offered.
• Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates outside a 50‑mile radius of Jonesville, SC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a small team of engineers supporting customized and standard utility projects.
• Manage engineering activities from order receipt through manufacturing release.
• Support the shop floor and customer on engineering design issues after manufacturing release.
• Review customer specifications, utility standards, and project requirements for accurate design.
• Ensure compliance with IEEE, ANSI, NEC, UL and customer standards.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and Quality to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-out in engineering processes and design quality.
• Provide technical leadership for complex customer applications and product improvements.
