The role collaborates with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and Quality to meet customer specifications and project timelines while championing continuous improvement and design excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• At least four years of engineering experience.
• Ability to work in a leadership role and manage projects.
• Willingness to relocate or reside near Jonesville, SC.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering and design team for both customized and standard utility projects.
• Manage engineering activities from order receipt through manufacturing release.
• Support the shop floor and address engineering issues after manufacturing release.
• Review customer specifications and standards to ensure accurate design execution.
• Oversee design and customization of switchgear, network protectors and related products.
• Ensure compliance with utility, IEEE, ANSI, NEC, UL and customer standards.
• Partner with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain and Quality to meet schedule and budget.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-out in engineering processes and product design.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The ETO Engineering Manager leads the engineering team responsible for the customization of electrical utility products to meet specific customer and application requirements. This role ensures safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions while supporting customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and on-time delivery.In this role you will:• Lead and develop a team of engineers and designers supporting both customized and standard utility product projects.• Manage engineering activities from order receipt through manufacturing release.• Support the shop floor and customer on any engineering related design issues after manufacturing release.• Review customer specifications, utility standards, and project requirements to ensure accurate design execution.• Oversee the design and customization of utility products, including switchgear, network protectors and related products.• Ensure compliance with applicable utility, IEEE, ANSI, NEC, UL, and customer standards.• Partner with Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality to deliver projects on schedule and within budget.• Drive continuous improvement and cost-out in engineering processes, product standardization, and design quality.• Provide technical leadership for complex customer applications, field issues, and product improvements.Qualifications:Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.• Four (4) years of engineering experience• Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
