Job summary

Fanatics Betting & Gaming is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and scale engineering teams delivering customer-facing products and internal platforms. You will provide technical leadership, grow teams, and ensure reliable software delivery across services that power the Fanatics App and related experiences.

You will partner with product and design, drive roadmaps, manage blockers, and promote best practices in agile delivery.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience managing an engineering team.
• 4+ years of experience building highly scalable and fault tolerant systems.
• Able to scope a project with targeted dates to meet business needs.
• Able to effectively communicate complex technical subjects to a variety of audiences.
• Experience with Agile software product delivery and SCRUM methodology.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical expertise within your engineering vertical.
• Build and lead one or more teams that deliver software while adhering to engineering best practices.
• Clarify technical requirements, negotiate priorities, and manage projects to deliver on time.
• Escalate blockers to accelerate progress of delivery.
• Work with product and design partners to create a roadmap for executives and stakeholders.
• Drive reliable and predictable team execution using data and KPIs.
• Provide clear updates (KPIs, status, metrics) to an executive audience.
• Help recruit and onboard a diverse group of engineers.
• Occasionally travel to Fanatics offices for conferences, events, meetings, and team-building.
