Job summary

Fanatics is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and scale multiple engineering teams for customer-facing and internal platforms. You will drive high-quality software delivery, align with product and design, and champion engineering best practices across the organization.

In this role you will mentor engineers, communicate progress to executives, and help recruit top talent while occasionally traveling to Fanatics offices for conferences and team-building events.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience managing an engineering team.
• 4+ years of experience building highly scalable and fault tolerant systems.
• Ability to deconstruct an architecture to be developed by different teams.
• Able to scope a project with targeted dates to meet business needs.
• Able to effectively communicate complex technical subjects to a variety of audiences.
• Experience with Agile software product delivery and SCRUM methodology.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and technical expertise within your engineering vertical.
• Build and lead one or more teams that will deliver software while adhering to engineering best practices.
• Clarify technical requirements, negotiate priorities, and manage projects to deliver on time by leading daily scrum activities.
• Clear blockers to accelerate delivery progress.
• Collaborate with product and design to craft an ambitious, achievable roadmap.
