Job summary

Kobie, a remote-first loyalty solutions leader, seeks a Manager of Software Engineering to lead Agile squads, translate business needs into scalable software, and drive end-to-end delivery. You will mentor engineers, partner with product, and align engineering with client implementations while fostering modern distributed systems and strong engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of software development experience with 2+ years in leadership.
• Proven experience leading Agile development teams delivering production‑grade software.
• Hands-on expertise with Java, Spring, and Angular; strong backend/frontend skills.
• Experience with Kafka, pub/sub messaging and event‑driven architectures.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform in cloud/containerized environments.
• Knowledge of CI/CD strategies and infrastructure.
• Experience with automated testing and test-automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more Agile squads to deliver scalable platform capabilities.
• Partner with Product Owners and Architects to translate requirements into solutions.
• Drive end-to-end delivery with high quality and predictable outcomes.
• Mentor engineers and support career growth within the team.
• Champion engineering best practices and maintain code quality standards.
• Collaborate with QA, SDET, and CI/CD teams to improve test coverage.
