Cloudera is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a 3–6 person team building core data platform capabilities for multi- and hybrid-cloud environments. You will shape architecture, drive engineering quality, and mentor engineers across distributed teams.

The role emphasizes technical leadership and people management within a fast-moving engineering organization, delivering both service and customer-private solutions. Strong cloud experience and production systems expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2+ years of related management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in technical leadership or people management roles; willingness to transition to people management.
• Strong background in public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) with security, infrastructure provisioning, containerization, and service enablement.
• Advanced Java and Python programming skills; Go and Javascript are a plus.
• Solid production systems experience; Linux, Docker, and CI/CD (Jenkins) proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire a 3–6 person engineering team focused on core platform capabilities (security, provisioning, containerization, service enablement).
• Influence platform/product definition, architecture, and engineering quality across multiple teams and geographies.
• Mentor and coach engineers for professional growth and career progression.
• Deliver innovative on-premise and cloud-based solutions for multi- and hybrid-cloud data management.
