Job summary

Cloudera is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a 3–6 person engineering team in the Public Cloud / R&D Core domain. You will balance technical leadership with people management, shaping platform architecture and delivery practices across on-prem and cloud environments.

Expect to mentor engineers while driving scalable, secure data platform capabilities for enterprise needs. The role emphasizes collaboration across geographies, influencing product definition, and delivering high-performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2+ years of management experience.
• Demonstrated experience in technical leadership or people management roles; willingness to transition into a people management role.
• Strong background in public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) with expertise in security, provisioning, containerization, and service enablement.
• Advanced Java and Python programming skills; Go and JavaScript are a plus.
• Strong expertise in developing, deploying, and operating production systems.
• Solid knowledge of Linux environments, networking, container technologies (Docker) and CI/CD solutions like Jenkins.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies.
• Passion for coaching and developing team members to their full potential.
