Job summary

Cloudera is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a 3-6 engineer team within the Public Cloud / R&D Core group, delivering cutting-edge data management capabilities across on-premise and cloud environments.

You will provide technical leadership and people management, influence architecture, and drive delivery while collaborating with teams worldwide to advance enterprise AI and data platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2+ years of management experience.
• Strong background in public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization.
• Proven leadership and ability to coach teams across geographies.
• Experience building production-ready distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 3-6 engineers focused on core capabilities (security, infrastructure provisioning, containerization, service enablement).
• Influence platform and product definition, architectural decisions, and engineering quality.
• Mentor and coach team members for career growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies to deliver hybrid cloud solutions.
