Job summary

DoorDash is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Mobile Developer Experience team (Mobile Foundations). You will set technical vision, nurture culture, and partner with senior engineers and stakeholders to design systems for faster, more reliable mobile apps across DoorDash, Wolt, and Deliveroo brands.

Location options include San Francisco, Sunnyvale, Seattle, Los Angeles, or New York. You will build a world-class team, guide architectural direction, and drive cross-functional initiatives

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on software development in mobile (Android or iOS).
• 3+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong bias for action, pragmatic problem-solving, and deep technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain foundational components to enable DoorDash engineers to excel at mobile engineering.
• Lead the development and strategy for ZeroKit to enable rapid mobile prototyping via agents.
• Manage and optimize horizontal infrastructure pillars, specifically the iOS and Android monorepos.
• Champion data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement across the team.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to drive long-term architectural direction and influence company-wide strategy.
• Guide the team through ambiguity, employing best practices while knowing when to break the mold.
• Communicate clearly with executives and across teams about trade-offs and technical strategy.
• Drive alignment across teams and disciplines through high-impact cross-functional initiatives.
• Build, sustain, and grow a diverse team to address evolving organizational needs.
