Job summary

Amgen Ohio is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee maintenance and engineering services for packaging lines at the manufacturing site. The role leads experienced maintenance personnel and coordinates with vendors to ensure uptime and continuous improvements.

The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical/Engineering background with hands-on leadership, PLC and vision system experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering and 3 years of related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 5 years of related experience
• Associate degree in Engineering and 10 years of related experience
• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of related experience
• Experience directly managing people and leading teams, projects, or resources

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and maintenance services for packaging lines.
• Lead maintenance and engineering team across commercial operations.
• Support maintenance strategy development and SOP improvements.
• On-the-floor engineering support to reduce downtime and troubleshoot issues.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with vendors and contractors.
• Drive safety, compliance, and efficiency improvements in maintenance work orders.
• Facilitate cross-site communication and technical advancements.
