Job summary

Amgen in Ohio seeks a Senior Manager of Commercial Secondary Packaging to lead a team of engineers supporting packaging operations for final and WIP products. You will drive reliability, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, coordinating with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain and external partners.

The role emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, and delivering safe, compliant packaging processes to meet ongoing demand in a regulated biopharma environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years direct people management experience.
• Advanced degree with relevant engineering/science discipline required or equivalent.
• Experience leading packaging engineering teams in a GMP/regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of packaging engineers for commercial operations.
• Drive root-cause analysis and CAPAs for deviations.
• Improve packaging line performance through reliability and efficiency.
• Own packaging configurations and maintenance for commercial products.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and readiness with Manufacturing, Quality, and External Supply.
• Lead continuous improvement to reduce downtime, waste, and variability.
• Support change controls across internal and external sites.
• Provide updates to site leadership on performance and issues.
