Job summary

Amgen Ohio is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead maintenance and engineering services for pharmaceutical packaging lines at the Ohio site. You will oversee a team across product assembly, labeling, and packaging, and drive maintenance strategy, safety, and GMP compliance.

Ideal candidates bring advanced engineering degree and 5+ years in maintenance leadership, with strong problem solving, project management, and cross-functional collaboration in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or related discipline and 3 years of related experience; or
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline and 5 years of related experience; or
• Associate degree in Engineering or related discipline and 10 years of related experience; or
• High school diploma / GED with 12 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and maintenance services and support to packaging lines.
• Lead a team of maintenance and engineering personnel across operations for assembly, label and packaging.
• Support equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, triages, and process improvements.
• Ensure on-the-floor support to reduce production downtime and lead maintenance strategy for equipment.
• Own and improve maintenance SOPs and job plans, spare parts, and PMs.
• Coordinate maintenance activities and provide field support for issues.
• Improve safety, compliance, and efficiency of maintenance work orders.
• Evaluate equipment history and implement improvements.
• Manage maintenance contract service providers.
• Facilitate communication across site network and drive technical improvements.
