Job summary

MyFitnessPal is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Subscription Growth squad, driving double-digit paid subscriber growth on top of our payments platform. You will guide a cross-functional team of backend and iOS engineers, focusing on outcomes over outputs and using data to inform product strategy.

You’ll mentor engineers, partner with Product and Design, and own delivery management while balancing speed, quality, and scalability to support growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience leading engineering teams in close partnership with Product and Design, focusing on customer outcomes.
• Strong analytical focus with comfort working through tricky A/B testing and data attribution challenges in Growth.
• Experience building highly available third-party integrations that process high-volume data, ideally in a subscription domain.
• Experience leading consumer-facing development work on native apps using iterative, learning-focused agile methodologies.
• Strong technical and product judgment: frame engineering investments as business outcomes in cross-functional planning.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Product and Design to explore Growth solutions across mobile and web apps.
• Work with the team to ensure strong technical decision‑making grounded in product context, enabling growth and monetization strategies.
• Hands-on delivery management: maintain backlog health, schedule maintenance and tech debt, and ensure timely breakdown of work.
• Coach and develop your team, investing in individuals while maintaining team health and cohesion.
