Job summary

Paddle is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Subscriptions team in a remote-friendly role. You will lead the core recurring revenue product, enabling the management of the full subscription lifecycle including plan changes, proration, trials, and flexible billing.

You’ll scale teams and shape a product powering thousands of creators worldwide. You will mentor engineers, partner with product management, and own the technical strategy for your area, ensuring reliability and scalability of

Qualifications

• Experience with Go or similar languages.
• Experience building or scaling subscription/recurring billing systems.
• Minimum 2 years of management experience with several direct reports.
• Senior software engineer experience on complex, large-scale cloud systems.
• Strong understanding of high-performing, sustainable engineering teams.
• Proven ability to communicate with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery from concept to rollout, collaborating with engineers and non-technical colleagues.
• Coach engineers in your team to grow professionally and perform with impact.
• Partner with Product Manager to create a roadmap for success and sustainable impact.
• Drive process improvements and maintain autonomy to fix what isn’t working.
• Oversee technical decisions and strategy within the product area.
