Job summary

Hatch is seeking an Engineering Manager in Salt Lake City to lead engineering and design activities for a major engagement. You will define scope, schedule, and budget, coordinate across disciplines, and ensure delivery to Hatch’s digital standards.

You’ll guide Area Engineers and Discipline Leads, driving technical leadership and quality. The role requires extensive senior-level experience, Professional Engineer registration where applicable, and a track record of delivering complex projects on

Qualifications

• Essential: BSc/BEng degree in engineering.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer where applicable.
• Typically 12 years in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Typically 3 years managing design engineering teams.
• Extensive knowledge of engineering systems, standards and codes.
• Ability to plan, coordinate and organize at an advanced level.
• Knowledge of 3D model/drawing production and document control.
• Knowledge of earned value management and project controls.
• Strong leadership, coaching and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan engagement baseline information, EWPs, budgets and schedules.
• Mobilize and lead engineering resources and teams across disciplines.
• Coordinate design reviews, governance and quality assurance.
• Ensure compliance with Hatch digital standards and EDMS usage.
• Communicate changes and manage client expectations throughout the engagement.
