Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Field Engineering Manager in Salt Lake City to coordinate and manage field engineering on site, ensuring work aligns with design, codes and standards. You will be the primary liaison with the home office Engineering team and resolve on-site technical issues, supporting Project Management, Site Quality, HS&E, Procurement and Commissioning.

Qualifications

• University degree/technical diploma in an engineering discipline.
• Proven track record in multi-disciplinary engineering management on major projects.
• Knowledge of design criteria and construction materials.
• Proficient with engineering software and their application to the project.
• Understanding of procurement, contracting and administrative practices.
• Strong organizational skills and time management.
• Ability to evaluate proposed technical options and provide timely solutions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage on-site engineering activities.
• Assign technical personnel and supervise the field engineering team.
• Provide technical support to the Construction Management Team.
• Manage field change processes and RFIs per Hatch procedures.
• Support planning, budgeting and training for site resources.
• Coordinate local permitting and inspections as required.
• Develop and implement the Field Engineering section of the ConstructionExecution Plan.
• Review commissioning data for site verification and performance.
