Job summary

MYR Energy Services Inc. (MYRE) is seeking an Engineering Manager to oversee engineering and procurement for electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects from bid to closeout.

You will coordinate design reviews with third-party consultants, support procurement and construction, and ensure final as‑built documentation is completed. This role requires 7+ years in electrical design/PM, PE preferred, and a Bachelor's in Engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of design, engineering, or project management experience in electrical transmission, distribution, and substation projects.
• Experience managing project teams or consultants preferred.
• PE licensure preferred.
• Construction/EPC project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare proposals for EPC electrical substation, transmission, and distribution projects.
• Define and establish project scope for alignment with client and third party consultants.
• Manage and coordinate detailed design activities with engineering subcontractors and oversee related deliverables from bidding to as-builts.
• Coordinate project procurement activities with engineering subcontractors and the Procurement Manager, including bidding and contracting.
• Work with vendors to expedite procurement information and deliverables; delegate as needed.
• Define and prepare the project’s engineering standards, specifications, and procurement requirements.
• Plan and coordinate daily engineering subcontractor and procurement activities with the Project Executive/Manager.
• Support negotiations with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.
