Q2 seeks a senior engineering leader to own production across a multi-engine data estate and drive end-to-end modernization. You will mentor engineers, define direction, and balance cost with performance while delivering reliable availability for financial services customers.

The role emphasizes build-your-own tooling, observability, and governance in a hybrid US environment. Ideal candidates have extensive AWS experience, strong SQL Server expertise, and a history of leading cross-functional

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field with 6+ years experience, or advanced degree with 4+ years
• 1-2 years managing and developing employees
• Deep SQL Server expertise at scale: Always On AGs, multi-region HA/DR, performance troubleshooting, licensing economics
• Ability to lead engineers across multiple db technologies: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Aurora, Snowflake, MongoDB, Pinecone
• Strong AWS depth; Azure knowledge useful
• Proven track record delivering programs end to end, including migrations or modernization
• Hands-on AI ability to build observability and tooling
• Strong judgment under pressure and ownership mindset
• Familiarity with security, compliance and operational best practices; regulated industries preferred
