Job summary

Securian Financial Group is seeking a Manager of Data Platform & AI Engineering to lead a team delivering enterprise data and AI platforms for analytics and ML. You will drive delivery, ensure platform reliability, and manage vendors and engineering standards.

Hybrid role with in-office days, strong emphasis on leadership, architecture alignment, and production excellence to create measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in software, data, platform, cloud, or AI engineering.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Experience leading delivery and operational support for enterprise technology platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps, automation, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Data Platform and AI Engineers and foster accountability and collaboration.
• Drive successful delivery of platform, data, and AI initiatives with prioritized work and risk management.
• Oversee day-to-day platform operations, incident response, and service reliability.
• Partner with Architecture, Product, and business stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Lead platform upgrades, modernization, and production readiness activities.
