Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a cloud backend team in the AI Detection and Response group. You will guide provisioning and orchestration systems to scale for millions of events, while still contributing code as needed.

This hybrid role requires 2–3 days on-site at one of the posted locations and a strong focus on people leadership and technical excellence. You will mentor engineers, own the lifecycle management roadmap, and drive best practices across CI/CD,

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience in enterprise-grade cloud products.
• At least 3+ years in an engineering management role leading backend teams.
• Strong coding ability with production-quality code and willingness to contribute.
• Experience with microservices and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a backend engineering team building cloud-native provisioning and orchestration services.
• Own the technical vision and roadmap for customer lifecycle management—onboarding, provisioning, configuration, orchestration.
• Drive architectural decisions for scalable, reliable, and secure distributed systems.
• Contribute directly to codebase as needed (20–30% hands-on).
• Partner with product management to translate requirements into technical plans.
• Establish engineering standards including code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and runbooks.
• Manage team capacity, sprints, and delivery commitments while balancing debt and innovation.
