Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an Engineering Manager on the Salesforce Integrations (Slackforce) engineering team. This role leads frontend and backend engineers, grows the team, and provides guidance on code architecture and implementation, with a focus on AI-assisted development.

You will mentor engineers, define roadmaps with Product, Design, Data, and Marketing, and own project delivery while shaping the hiring plan. A CS-related degree and 2+ years of management experience are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering management experience leading productive, high-functioning teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training/work experience.
• Ability to weigh several constraints to make rapid decisions in a fast-growing company.
• Technical experience to discuss architecture and product decisions with engineers, including applying AI tools.
• Proven history of shipping products with consistent execution.
• Highly organized and thrives in rapid-paced environments.
• Comfortable with performance conversations and career growth discussions.

Responsibilities

• Use data to make decisions about prioritization and impact, with a focus on experimentation.
• Mentor and coach engineers to develop into technical leaders in an AI-assisted environment.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data, and Marketing to conceive features for teams.
• Build roadmaps and long-term team vision with Product.
• Be accountable for driving project execution.
• Define and fulfill the engineering hiring plan, including screening and interviewing.
• Anticipate future technical needs and plan to leverage AI to improve workflows.
• Work with other engineering leaders on priorities, processes, and policies.
