Job summary

Prophetic is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a growing platform engineering team building SearchAI, ZoneAI, SiteAI, DevMap, and DealDesk. You will drive sprint cadence, code quality, and cross‑functional collaboration with Product to align engineering work with customer needs.

You’ll partner with the CTO on hiring, team structure, and culture while remaining hands‑on for architecture discussions and PR reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years of engineering management experience
• Experience leading teams of 5–15 engineers in fast-growing environments
• Proven ability to recruit, develop and retain engineering talent
• Strong communication skills and cross-functional collaboration
• Experience with agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery
• Comfort with AI tooling in daily workflows
• High emotional intelligence and ownership mindset

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of full-stack engineers and conduct 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development
• Own sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives; ensure scoping and blockers are addressed
• Collaborate with Head of Product to translate roadmap into engineering work
• Maintain engineering quality through code reviews, testing, and architecture discussions
• Recruit, interview, and onboard new engineers as the team scales
• Coordinate cross-functional work with product, design, and customer-facing teams
• Improve processes to sustain velocity and quality (CI/CD, incident response)
• Monitor team health and report velocity and delivery to leadership
