Job summary

Safe-Guard Products International is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to lead a 10+ person full‑stack team across onshore and offshore locations. You will own delivery, reliability, and modernization of critical contracts cancellations and payments platforms for OEM and dealer partners.

The ideal candidate has hands-on leadership, strong frontend/backend experience, and a proven track record of leveraging GenAI tools to accelerate development while managing distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience
• 2+ years in an engineering management or team lead role
• Experience leading or working within distributed onshore/offshore teams
• Strong hands-on full-stack experience across frontend and backend
• Experience with microservices and modern frontend frameworks
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Cloud-native application deployment
• Experience with GenAI tools in the software development lifecycle
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed, full-stack engineering team of 10+ engineers (onshore and offshore)
• Own the end-to-end delivery, reliability, and evolution of the Contract Cancellations and Claims Payments applications, both internal and external-facing
• Partner with Finance, Claims Operations, and Product to translate needs into scalable technical solutions
• Oversee full-stack applications built on microservices and modern frontend frameworks, with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Champion GenAI adoption to improve velocity and quality
• Drive CI/CD, automated testing, code quality, and observability
• Balance new features with technical debt reduction and modernization
• Ensure systems meet performance, security, and compliance requirements
• Coordinate with offshore partners and vendors for delivery quality
• Lead production incident response and root cause analysis
• Mentor and coach engineers for career development
