Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an engineering manager to lead a high-impact team focused on authentication infrastructure and AI-augmented development. You will guide engineers with expertise in Java, REST/RPC, and microservices, while shaping strategy with PMs and architects.

You will drive code quality, security, and performance, coaching engineers to elevate system design and architecture, and ensuring alignment with Salesforce standards across distributed services.

Qualifications

• Direct people management experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong software development experience with Java and web services.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Hands-on proficiency with AI development tools and evaluating AI outputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a software engineering team delivering APIs, logging/monitoring, and highly available datastore services.
• Develop short- and long-term product and operational strategies for Cloud Atlas with PM and architecture teams.
• Manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Drive software quality, performance, security, and resilience via CI and incident response.
• Coach engineers to grow into higher-level system design and architecture work in an AI-augmented environment.
• Integrate AI tools into daily development, manage configuration, feedback loops, and review processes for AI-generated output.
• Guard architectural integrity, security best practices, and technical standards with AI-influenced code.
