Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an engineering manager for Cloud Atlas to lead a high-impact team across Java, RESTful APIs, and scalable datastore services. You will shape product and operational strategies while guiding Agile delivery and incident response.

You'll mentor engineers in AI-assisted development, emphasize architectural integrity, and collaborate with product and architecture teams to deliver resilient, secure systems at scale.

Qualifications

• Direct people management experience leading software engineering teams.
• Strong software development experience with Java and web services REST/RPC.
• Solid grasp of system architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix command line, bash, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Excellent written and spoken communication with cross-team collaboration.
• Hands-on proficiency with AI development tools and evaluating AI-generated outputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead, empower, and develop a team of software engineers delivering APIs, logging/monitoring, performance tuning, and highly available datastore services.
• Develop short- and long-term product and operational strategies for Cloud Atlas with PM and architecture teams.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Drive software quality, performance, security, and resilience through code reviews, CI, and incident response.
• Coach engineers to design high-level architectures and integrate AI tooling into daily development cycles.
• Guard architectural integrity, security best practices, and technical standards as AI increases code volume.
