Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Software Engineering for Cloud Atlas in a hybrid role across SF and Seattle-area locations.

You will lead a high-impact team responsible for APIs, authentication datastore services, and AI-driven development practices. The role emphasizes architecture discipline, security, and collaboration with product and architecture, with extensive experience in Java, REST/SOAP, and distributed systems required.

Qualifications

• Direct people management experience leading software teams.
• Strong development background with Java, REST/RPC, and large-scale systems.
• Experience with Linux/Unix, microservices, and distributed architectures.
• Proficiency with AI tools and evaluating AI outputs for architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a software team delivering APIs, logging/monitoring, performance tuning, and highly available datastore services.
• Develop short- and long-term product and operational strategies for Cloud Atlas with PM and architecture teams.
• Manage priorities, deadlines and deliverables using Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Drive software quality, security, and resilience via code reviews, CI, and incident response.
• Own AI tool integration into daily development cycles with feedback loops and human review decisions.
• Guard architectural integrity and security, coaching engineers on AI-generated code quality.
