Job summary
Decagon, the leading conversational AI platform, is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Agent Product team in San Francisco. You will lead a group of engineers building and shipping AI agents, from initial implementation through iteration, working closely with customers to solve complex needs at scale.
You will mentor engineers, own deployments, and help define the technical strategy for AI-powered customer support.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of engineering management experience.
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency with Python and TypeScript.
- Experience leading teams building distributed systems.
- Strong communication with enterprise customers.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a team of engineers building AI agents that outperform humans in complex interactions.
- Partner with enterprise customers to translate pain points into scalable AI solutions.
- Drive end-to-end deployment lifecycle from initial implementation to optimization.
- Collaborate with product, design and research to guide platform evolution.
- Define technical strategy and roadmap for AI-powered customer support.
- Mentor engineers with technical guidance and career development.
- Maintain high engineering standards while promoting ownership and velocity.
