Bot Jobs in San Francisco is seeking an Engineering Manager for the Agent Engineering team. You will lead engineers who build production-grade AI agents that handle complex customer interactions at scale across industries such as finance, healthcare, and hospitality.

You will partner with enterprise customers to understand operational pain points, drive the deployment lifecycle, and shape the agent platform roadmap with product and research teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of engineering management experience leading teams of 3–8 engineers on customer-facing products.
• 5+ years of industry software engineering experience with backend or product engineering focus.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript, including asynchronous programming patterns.
• Experience leading teams building complex distributed systems or customer-facing products.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers building AI agents for complex customer interactions.
• Partner with enterprise customers to translate pain points into scalable AI solutions.
• Drive the full agent deployment lifecycle from implementation to optimization.
• Collaborate with product, design, and research to identify cross-customer trends for platform evolution.
• Help define technical strategy and roadmap for AI-powered customer support.
• Mentor engineers with technical guidance and career development.
• Maintain a high engineering bar while fostering ownership and customer focus.
